We began the session indoors, using the pavilion’s floor-to-ceiling windows to create modern, reflective compositions. As the winter sky softened into pastel evening glow, the glass became a natural mirror, allowing us to layer reflections and silhouettes for an editorial feel.

Winter at Rocky Lake Estate offers its own charm, especially along the wooded trails. Kelly and Kyle wandered up the leaf-covered paths, where the copper and russet tones provided a warm contrast to the cool air. As they approached the bottom of the hill, a small wooden bridge lined with warm lights waited for us. As daylight faded, the gentle glow of the bulbs made the scene feel intimate and inviting, perfect for capturing soft, romantic portraits.

As evening settled in, we wrapped up their session at the lake. A small wooden dock lit with café lights set the stage for one of the most romantic moments of the night: Kelly and Kyle sharing a romantic yet playful dance as blue hour washed over the water.

The reflections on the still lake, the warmth of the lights overhead, and the way they held each other under a blanket, created a cinematic moment that felt straight out of a winter romance film.
