This post is long overdue. In June of 2013, we had the honor and privilege of meeting up with Ellen and Scott at their home for their engagement session. I’ve known Ellen for quite some time. She and I worked together for years and always kept in touch after we both left our jobs. She is a talented graphic designer and currently owns her own studio SeeMeDesign. If you’re ever in need of a truly creative designer, look no further, she’s your gal. I met Scott thru our breakfast get togethers as she always talked about him. I got to personally meet him on this day. He is quite a guy.

This family is so cute. Now you ask… why did I say family? Well we need to introduce you all to Bradley, a Chihuahua mix they adopted a couple of years ago. Ellen mentioned that Bradley is not really comfortable around strangers but I assured her he would be just fine. She even said they took him to a pet photographer earlier in the year and there wasn’t a single image they could take from the session. Just to keep her mind at ease, we opted to take Bradley to one of his usual spots for his walks—a place he was familiar with and could roam free and be comfortable in his own environment. Well that did it. He was a perfect little gentle dog. We all enjoyed having him around and by the looks of his closeups, he thought the same. I was in love with that devilish smile of his.

The light was perfect that humid afternoon. We’ve been having quite a summer with storms rolling in at any given time but that didn’t stop us from making magic. Ellen you are beautiful and Scott you’re not half bad yourself.

Stop it Ellen. You look amazing.

Bradley pretty much wanted this session all to himself. He was so much fun to photograph. He has a personality all of his own.

After we dropped off Bradley at home, we took a trip to the new Atlanta BeltlLine. The Atlanta BeltLine uses an existing 22-mile historic railway that circles the City. Pedestrian friendly rail transit and 33 miles of multi-use trails will follow this corridor and branch off from it. Once completed, the Atlanta BeltLine will bring together 45 in-town neighborhoods and link them to the entire metropolitan Atlanta region.

Congratulations Scott and Ellen. Your wedding at the Old Edwards Inn was truly spectacular.
