Lynnly & Sean

Piedmont Park Spring Engagement Session

Spring at Piedmont Park offers something few locations in the city can, open green space, consistent light, and a clear view of the Atlanta skyline all in one place. Lynnly and Sean’s engagement session took full advantage of that range, reflecting the kind of natural, movement-driven approach we bring to our engagement sessions in Atlanta.

Sean and Lynnly are in the medical field. Sean works in emergency medicine, and Lynnly is a pharmacist, something that showed in how calm and grounded they were throughout their Piedmont Park engagement session.

Starting Simple

We began with their dog, which helped ease the session into a more relaxed pace. It gives couples something familiar to focus on, and that usually leads to more natural interaction early on.

After a few minutes, we transitioned into just the two of them. By that point, the session already had a rhythm, so nothing felt forced.

Letting the Session Breathe

Rather than staying in one location, we moved through the park at a steady pace, walking, pausing, and adjusting based on the light.

This approach keeps the interaction continuous. Instead of resetting between poses, the moments build on each other, which tends to create a more consistent set of images. It’s the same approach we use across all of our engagement sessions in Atlanta.

A Shift in Energy

We spent a short stretch near the playground, which introduced a more playful dynamic. It doesn’t take long for that shift to make a difference, just enough to add contrast without changing the overall tone of the session.

Finishing with the Skyline

We ended at the skyline overlook as the sun began to drop. The light becomes more directional there, and the city adds structure and depth to the frame.
